New Beginners Course

Wednesday March 16th 2011

6:30 to 7:30

Barry Kyokushin Karate Club is a club that has a 32 year foundation. Many students that have come through our doors over those 32 years have been from all walks of life, some have been there for fitness, some have been there to have an after school activity and some have been there to make new friends, but all have had one thing in common, they were taught by the best.

What we do, is provide a safe environment for all students to train and a positive attitude from our Instructors helps get the best ability out of a student, without sacrificing the discipline and seriousness that this style of martial art deserves..

The course will run open for 6 weeks and then we will stop taking new students. If you are interested in joining you will need to email us at barrykyokushin@hotmail.co.uk or phone Sensei Richard Males on 01446 720843 and give your name, age and contact number.

Students are accepted from the age of 6 in our main stream classes.

The beginners course is run in 3 phases, Phase 1 is a brief overview of all basics and will last until the end of the 6 week open course. Once the 6 weeks are up we then close the doors to new students. Phase 2 is a break down of all the basics so that all students fully understand what they are doing. Phase 3 is to get you ready for your first Grading (test).

The course will last for 6 months and will be one training session per week, after 2-3 months students will train twice a week. Once the 6 months is up you will be put forward for your grading (test) and hopfully graded to your first belt. Beginners will be trained on all basics of Kyokushin Karate including fitness, conditioning and self defence. For your first few lessons you just need to wear t-shirt and jogging bottoms, and lessons will be charged at the daily rate ( £3.00 16 years and over , £2.50 under 16 years ).

Licence fee must be paid by the 3rd lesson and membership fee must be paid by 5th lesson

You dont need to be fit to start, the professional, experienced Instructors we have will help you every way they can. Current students that "were" concerned about their fitness levels have progressed through the grades and have improved their fitness levels to almost 70% inside of one year.
